New beginnings – a fairytale group process (in English)

About The Event
I'd like to achieve so much in this new year... but not sure where to begin.
I've made some new year's resolutions...but haven't done anything about them yet.
Why is it so hard to take that first step towards the things I've promised myself?
New beginnings always take courage and strength, and taking that first step on the journey is usually the most difficult. So that's exactly what we're going to do at this event, and we'll do it together. In this English-speaking 3-hour workshop, we will talk, we will get to know a relevant fairytale and we will do engaging and fun exercises – all in order to activate your inner resources and to help you take that next step forward.
Fairytales teach us a lot about the hero's journey: many princesses and princes started a journey, encountered friends and enemies along the way, solved challenges and finally succeeded in their pursuit – and even became kings and queens in the end! On this occasion, we will work with a Grimm fairytale, which will inspire us and fill us with energy and hope to get moving on the path we have chosen. We will listen to the fairytale, talk and play with art and movement. With the support of a fairytale counselor and your fellow travelers, you will have the chance to explore where you would like your journey to take you, what the fears are holding you back and what resources you can count on along your way.
Fairytale counseling is a unique methodology that works with symbols and fairytales and integrates elements of narrative and art therapy. We will work with the fairytale, play with art and support each other – and you'll leave the workshop feeling refreshed, re-inspired and reenergized, excited about your next steps in 2019.
The number of participants is very limited (maximum 10 people) to make it comfortable, and the group will provide a warm, welcoming space to all. Tea and some cookies will be provided - but of course you are welcome to treat the group with snacks if you feel like contributing :) All other practical information e.g. about the location (parking, public transport, etc.) is available in the FAQ section of this website.
