Old fairytales for today's women

What if the prince is just not good enough for the princess, and she would rather not marry him? What if the queen doesn't want to have children, and would rather focus on her role as a leader? And is the witch really evil, or did we just misunderstand her role in modern times?

About The Event

Fairytales often get a really bad rap when it comes to their portrayal of women - and the criticism is in many cases justified.

But is there still wisdom in fairytales - a piece of wisdom that could even be relevant to today's women? Is there a way to relook at some ancient stories and discover a meaning that still holds true today?

Less than a week after Women's day, we will meet up in Wein Salon and we will together experience three fairytales, all celebrating women in different, unique ways. These fairytales will not in any way be "made contemporary", they will be authentic, old fairytales from different cultures. We will listen to the fairytales, and then take a deeper look at some of the themes and symbols. And, of course, have a chat about them!

On this casual meetup, we will enjoy a drink and get to know each other, listen to the fairytales and share our thoughts and feelings about them. The evening will be hosted by a Fairytale Analyst, who will offer some alternative interpretations and also facilitate the discussions. We look forward to having you there!

Tickets: online pre-sales 6 Eur, on the spot 8 Eur. Limited ticket availability - there is space for maximum 25-30 people, so make sure you secure your space by buying a ticket in advance.
