Confidence coaching

If a lack of confidence and self-belief seems to be getting in your way of creating the life and career that you want for yourself, then there is good news: confidence can be developed. All too often, I hear people say 'I just can't do this. I'm just not confident enough' – and in saying so, express the fear that for them, there is no hope. In my experience, the situation is quite the opposite: confidence can be strengthened. It starts with a decision, a commitment to yourself, and then it becomes an exercise and a daily habit of nurturing it and proactively managing it – and after a while, you will notice that confidence has become a permanent feature of how you view yourself. Confidence is a habit of your mind; learning to live with, and to act out of a place of confidence "only" requires developing a new mental habit: a new way of looking at yourself. 

In my approach, confidence is also connected to authenticity – as I believe that in order to build strong foundations for long-lasting confidence, you will need to build on an acceptance, respect, and appreciation of the real, authentic you (rather than on the positive feedback of others, which makes you vulnerable to others' opinions). It is for this reason, that this confidence coaching journey, unlike many others, is not just limited to techniques and tools to boost your confidence, but also includes a good amount of self-reflection. You will understand yourself, your fears as well as strengths and resources more deeply, you will learn and test tools that can become part of your regular confidence-boosting routine. As a bonus, you will also learn a few simple breathing- and mindfulness-based relaxation techniques to help you manage anxiety in stressful situations. 

Problem

This confidence coaching journey is for you, if

  • You have been experiencing any symptoms of the Imposter Syndrome / Impostor Phenomenon, such as perfectionism, the feeling of incompetence, the feeling of not belonging ('I hope they don't find out I'm a fraud...'), the urge to do everything on your own / the fear of asking for help, etc. 

  • If you are new in your job, if you have been newly appointed as people manager or find yourself suddenly facing new challenges, and you would like support in inhabiting your new role as efficiently as possible ("first 100 days coaching")

  • If you find yourself in a traditional role that doesn't seem to fit your personality, and you wish to succeed in the job by aligning what you do and what is expected with who you are and what is important to you (e.g. authentic leadership).

  • If, beyond the job, there is any other area of your life in which you would like to achieve progress but are lacking confidence

The journey you will take

Solution

In this process, both during the 1to1 sessions and the homework & fieldwork assignments, you will discover new aspects of yourself that will act as resources along the way, find and test tools that help you manage your confidence, as well as create your own, longer-term confidence-boosting plan that feels genuinely right and authentic. You will also practice stress-reduction techniques along the way. The journey will include:

Truly understanding the current situation & mapping out your resources

  • Discover your inner obstacles and challenges – and learn how to overcome them. Face some of your related fears – within the safe space of this coaching journey.

  • Identify your inner strengths and resources that you can safely build on, that will help you reach your goals. 

 

Activation of resources

  • Develop your own set of confidence tools. Test, fine-tune, practice.

  • Define your plans, strategies, and courses of action based on what is exactly right for you, building on your unique strengths and resources. 

 

Taking action

  • Start implementing your strategies. Track progress. Manage stress and anxiety along the way.

  • Work with the actual, real challenges that come up as you start taking your first steps. Any challenge that comes up while you're taking steps along your path, you will explore it, understand it, learn to accept yourself more fully through it as well as to successfully manage it, in the mentorship phase of this coaching journey.

Practical details and pricing

This coaching journey includes:

  • A free, 30-minute, commitment-free first consultation to help you decide if this coaching process is right for you

  • 12 coaching sessions (online or in-person in Berlin), 75 minutes each

  • Homework and fieldwork assignments in-between the sessions, facilitating and enhancing your process even further

  • A free, 30-minute follow-up video call two months after the end of your process to check on you and your progress

The timeframe of this coaching journey:

  • Ideal duration: 4 months

  • In the first 2 months, we meet on a weekly basis, allowing for a faster deepening of your process and creating the space for transformation
    (transformation phase, 8 sessions)

  • Afterward, we meet once every 2-3 weeks to discuss your action progress, working with the actual challenges coming up along the way
    (mentorship phase, 4 sessions)

  • The duration and time frame are flexible and adaptable – at our first consultation, we can discuss the exact timing based on your needs and preferences. 

Pricing:

  • Standard price of the entire coaching journey: 1.200 EUR + VAT (in total: 1.430 EUR)

  • Action price (applies if you make your decision and book your coaching within 1 week following our first consultation call): 1.140 EUR + VAT (= 1360 EUR)

  • I will respond within 2-3 days and we will set the appointment for your first 30-minute consultation. This call is absolutely for free and requires no commitment from you.

  • During the call, you are invited to share a bit about yourself, your current situation and your objectives. You are also welcome to ask questions about the approach, the methodology used during the coaching. All practical aspects (scheduling, payment, etc.) are also clarified. 

  • After the call, if you decide to start with your process, you will be guided through the secure payment process and your first appointment will be confirmed.
